By signing a new contract with Superbet, the partnership will now run up to 2029. Originally, the contract would have ended in 2027, but the new contract has added two more years, thus making a much longer institutional partnership between the football club and the betting operator.
Under the terms of the new agreement, the symbol of Superbet’s will be continuously worn on the front of Fluminense players’ uniforms and will also be seen on the tops of the backs of their uniforms. The players being at games, training sessions and warm-ups, these sites for the branding are highly visible which, along with the commercial activities of all the other clubs, would greatly raise the brand awareness of Superbet.
Mattheus Montenegro, president of Fluminense Football Club, said:
The extension of the partnership with Superbet reflects not only recognition of the work being done at the club in recent years but also conveys confidence in a promising future. This partnership has proven successful and has an even more victorious path ahead.”
So the announcement about this expanded partnership was quite deliberately timed with the final of Campeonato Carioca where Fluminense lost the runners-up position to Flamengo.
Since completing the partnership in early 2024, Superbet has already promoted some of the club’s major highlights including FIFA Club World Cup 2025. The collaboration is also considering the facilitation of events like Supersticioso, Flu Fest and Outubro Rosa; however, activities mentioned above not only are helping to intensify fans’ interaction with the club on and off the field but also the possibilities of greater and more sustainable happy moments are opened.
Alex Fonseca, CEO of Superbet in Brazil, said:
For Superbet, it is a huge pride to be part of Fluminense’s journey, one of the most traditional and respected clubs in South American football, with international presence, remarkable achievements, and a passionate fan base. Throughout this trajectory, we have worked together to strengthen the men’s and women’s sports projects and consolidate Fluminense’s brand as a major reference in football.
