MGM Resorts International has named Ryan Abboushi as its new President of Entertainment, a strategic appointment aimed at reinforcing the company’s footprint in the live entertainment and immersive experiences space.
In this leadership role, Abboushi will oversee programming and operations, including venue management, talent acquisition, show development, and key partnerships.
He is also tasked with creating scalable, branded entertainment experiences that can be deployed across MGM’s global portfolio. This leadership change is part of MGM’s broader initiative to strengthen the integration of live entertainment, sports, art, and immersive content at its properties.
Before joining MGM, Abboushi spent 16 years at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), where he played a significant role in packaging and selling entertainment content across film and TV, while also helping shape the careers of stars like T.J. Miller, Dave Franco, Miles Teller, Eva Longoria, Natasha Leggero, and Demi Lovato, in collaboration with agent Rachel Rusch.
This move marks Abboushi’s shift from the talent agency world to corporate leadership, bringing with him a strong foundation in content creation and talent relations that will inform his new role.
MGM Resorts, known for hosting major residencies, concerts, and immersive productions, is looking to further expand in live entertainment. With Abboushi leading its entertainment strategy, the company aims to streamline programming across venues and develop fresh experiences that resonate with a wide range of guests.
The company’s entertainment lineup includes high-profile collaborations with production houses and artists, showcasing its commitment to top-tier performances and innovative content.
Abboushi’s appointment comes as MGM places greater emphasis on integrated experiences that blend entertainment with hospitality and gaming. He is expected to be instrumental in accelerating these initiatives, beginning with an assessment of existing programs and the formation of new talent partnerships.
He will also explore opportunities for multi-platform content that aligns with the MGM brand and engages broader audiences. Abboushi will officially step into the role on June 16.
