Petra Zackrisson, chief transformation officer at LeoVegas, has announced that she will be leaving her position at the gaming operator and supplier which is also owned by MGM Resorts.
Petra became a member of LeoVegas team nearly one year ago and was initially brought on board as senior consultant. Very soon she turned into the main force behind the company’s change.
During her tenure the company has updated its internal workings, geared its people towards strategic goals, and set itself up for the next stage of development. Therefore her leaving is a major occurrence for both LeoVegas and the iGaming industry at large.
Zackrisson said:
When I joined LeoVegas Group in March 2025, the mandate was clear: to help create the structure, momentum and clarity needed to strengthen how we operate and deliver on our ambitions.
She added:
Today, accountability is clearer, the overall structure is in place and the focus now shifts fully to execution on our strategy, delivering on our priorities and continuing the mindset shift across the organization. I am proud of the work I’ve done supporting Leo to spark and shape the change taking the company to the next level. I leave confident in the direction ahead, and in the leadership in place. I will now take a break, enjoy the spring sun and reflect over my next step. Regardless of industry or role, I am sure AI will be a big part of it.
Before her time at LeoVegas, Zackrisson held several notable positions in the iGaming sector, including senior vice president of growth at Better Collective and chief strategy and business development officer at Kaizen Gaming.
