SBC was able to announce that its Brazilian section of iGaming businesses has had continued positive growth over the past year, with total attendance increasing at least 15% over the previous 12 months.
In terms of operator participation within SBC Summit Rio, there was also a growth of 16%, year-over-year; while affiliate growth was recorded at + 26.7%. The two statistics combined indicate continued interest in Brazil by the industry.
In addition, SBC was able to report a higher percentage of senior-level attendees, with 37.8% now being decision makers versus only 25% in 2025.
The SBC Summit took place March 3-5, 2026 at Riocentro Exhibition Centre in Rio de Janeiro, with SBC reporting that approximately 60.8% of total event attendees travelled to attend from within Brazil.
As well as the above, the summit also had an extremely high proportion of international attendance, with attendees from over 100 countries; this demonstrates that the rapid growth of the Brazilian gaming industry is being recognized worldwide.
Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC, said:
A huge thank you to everyone who exhibited, sponsored and attended SBC Summit Rio. The feedback makes it clear that Brazil’s market is only just getting started, and we’re proud to provide a platform that supports its growth.
Many of the conference panels and discussions centered on Brazil’s ongoing move toward a regulated gambling environment. Among the speakers was Plínio Lemos Jorge, president of the ANJL trade association.
He said:
The conferences bring together regulators and industry stakeholders, showing the regulator’s commitment to sharing information with the market.
Looking ahead, SBC has already confirmed that the next edition of its Brazilian summit will be held from March 2 to March 4 next year.
