The Argentine province of Santa Fe is expanding its regulated online gaming and sports betting market sector.
A significant change is that BMM Testlabs has been given formal permission to conduct game testing in the territory. Such a permit gives the signal for the opening of new online platforms for making bets that will be functioning under Santa Fe’s legally regulated framework.
BMM Testlabs has today become officially the right holder of licensing gaming service providers and operators by the local gaming operators after getting the go-ahead from Caja de Asistencia Social Lotería de Santa Fe. The authorities’ decision matches the commitment of Santa Fe to consistently expand its online gaming market.

The Santa Fe government issued a statement earlier that the tender for online sports betting licenses will be announced in March. This tender will be run by Lotera de Santa Fe and will accept foreign applicants too so that multiple licensees can be selected to operate online gaming platforms.
Those who want to apply, must submit their application documents at the Subsecretaría de Contrataciones y Gestin de Bienes office, located at the province’s Civic Center, by March 2. Unlike other territories, Santa Fe doesn’t put a limit on the number of licensees who can operate online.
A licensee is required to pay a royalty of at least 15% of their gross revenue. Licensees can keep their license valid for up to 10 years and local authorities may grant a two-year extension. The decision of the local government to recognize BMM Testlabs in the online gaming market of Santa Fe is motivated by the intention to help operators maintain their standards in security, fairness and compliance with regulations at the highest level.
Independent testing has become critically important for offering a surety of transparency and integrity in online gaming.
