Behind The Gloves’ flagship event for 2027, Midnight Mayhem, is gearing up for SBC Summit Lisbon with a unique activation as it looks to build on its landmark success in 2026.
The event will see the launch of the Midnight Mayhem Fight Card Collection, which features 25 people from across the campaign, each rated out of 100 across a range of categories, evoking the era of classic trading cards. There will be 1,000 free packs distributed at SBC Summit Lisbon, with six cards in every pack.
However, there are two deliberately rare cards, ensuring that only 10 complete collections can ever exist. An attendee who manages to collect all 25 cards and brings the complete set to Behind The Gloves can claim the grand prize; a VIP table at Midnight Mayhem, worth €6,500.
The concept is deliberately designed to encourage delegates to meet other attendees, find missing fighters and trade cards across the SBC Summit exhibition floor.
It transforms a traditional event giveaway into a three-day networking competition, introducing thousands of attendees to the fighters, their stories and the charities they are representing.
More details and the full Fight Card Collection can be found here.
In addition, Midnight Mayhem has also received backing from major operators Betsson and ComeOn Group, both of which have thrown their support behind the initiative with commitments to the night.
The charity boxing event, taking place at the iconic La Paloma in Barcelona on Tuesday 19th January 2027, will see 20 iGaming figures participate in 10 bouts across the evening, as the organisation looks to raise more than €200,000 for charity.
The evening will combine professional fight-night production, premium hospitality, industry networking, entertainment and an afterparty running until 2am, while putting charitable impact at the centre of the experience.
In addition to the sponsorships from industry-leading operators such as Betsson and ComeOn, Behind The Gloves will bring a unique activation to SBC Summit Lisbon, starting on the 29th September.
Midnight Mayhem has been designed to bring the whole gambling ecosystem together, including operators, suppliers, regulators, payments companies, affiliates, media, compliance businesses and industry leaders, creating a positive impact beyond business.
The event will support 25 charitable causes, combining core Behind The Gloves charity partners with organisations personally selected by the fighters.
The charities supported through the wider Midnight Mayhem campaign include:
- Support Our Paras
- WBC Cares UK
- Oliver’s Wish Foundation
- Cystic Fibrosis Trust
- CHIPS
While the specific fighter-supported causes include organisations such as:
- Parkinson’s UK
- MS Society
- The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity
- Pancreatic Cancer UK
- Help for Heroes
- Action Medical Research
- Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity
Discussing the recent updates, Lee McFarland, Founder of Behind The Gloves, said:
Midnight Mayhem was never supposed to be just another industry party with a boxing ring in the middle of it. We want to create one of those nights people are still talking about years later – but underneath all of the theatre, entertainment and madness there has to be a purpose. We now have 20 people from our industry preparing to step into a ring across 10 bouts, each of them fighting for something much bigger than themselves. To already have major operators such as Betsson and ComeOn Group committing to attend shows us that the industry is getting behind what we’re trying to achieve. Our target is now to generate more than €200,000 for charity, create meaningful awareness for 25 causes and show what can happen when this industry comes together to do some good. And before we get to Barcelona, we’re going to cause a little bit of chaos in Lisbon with the Fight Card Collection. With only ten of the rarest cards in existence, I expect SBC to turn into one enormous trading floor.
Midnight Mayhem is affiliated with WBC Cares UK, bringing the heritage and global reach of the World Boxing Council’s charitable movement into the campaign.
The event will also help showcase how boxing can be used as a vehicle for community, inclusion, wellbeing and positive social impact.
